In one of my previous posts (https://callofnatureblog.wordpress.com/2014/03/22/an-unforgetable-trip/ ) I told the “story” of a trip in which I had visited 2 mountain villages. This happened in late autumn on a beautiful sunny day. At the beginning of the year I decided to “continue” the journey and re-visit the area, this time in winter 🙂
Again it was a sunny day, yet the January snow was overall. As I continued to climb to and through the village, the weather grew colder and colder, while the wind was blowing as if I were at the North Pole, scattering the snow from my path. However even if I was freezing, I didn’t stop shooting and went further until sunset was approaching.
Finally I headed on the way back while enjoying the winter sunset. “Beautiful and cooold!” I was thinking while continuing to take pictures. And as a “bonus”, as it happened in many other trips I met some shepherd dogs. They proved to be pretty friendly (it’s a Romanian proverb that says “the dog that barks doesn’t bite”) and became my trip companions for a while.
To conclude this story, if you’re into it it’s always worth enduring the harshness of the weather for getting some good photos.
I’ll now let the pictures “talk”. Enjoy!
