After coming back from the Mammoth I decided to take a walk on the hill where the old city fortifications are standing. It was already evening and the it got very cold outside. To make things worse the wind started to blow, which made me feel like I was at the North Pole.
I took these pictures in Alba Iulia at the end of last year. It was the first day when it snowed in Alba Iulia, just before St. Nicholas. On such a weather many people would prefer to stay in the house for a cup of hot tea, however I decided to take a walk on the hills near the city, which the locals call “The Mammoth” because of their mammoth-like shape. And I didn’t get disappointed!
I find leaves as a fascinating subject of close-up photography no matter the season. Here some nice examples. The beautiful colours and the light conditions should be enough for a superb photo, however if you also add some droplets of water…
This was one of my first experiences using an off-camera flash. I recommend this technique to anyone who is eager to unleash his/her creativity. It brings a lot of possibilities, much more than using the external flash on camera.
