Magura is a mountain village near Bran (think all of you heard about the castle of Count Dracula, right?).
Like all mountain villages in Romania it is spread over a large area being surrounded by mountains, hills and valleys. The landscapes are breathtaking, however in order to get there you have 2 possibilities: either use the car and take the road through Moeciu, which is the short way (but in my humble opinion a boring trip) or climb the mountains and walk through the forest to Magura Peek, which can be pretty exhausting, though it comes more like an adventure.
Well, because I like adventures I chose the second option and I don’t have any reason to regret it. As it was May I had a lot of things to capture on my camera’s sensor as this is the month when the mountain nature is at it’s maximum (plenty of flowers, insects, in a word everything needed to get a lot of vivid pictures). For the way back I walked on the forrest road to Moeciu then heading to the main road which links Moeciu de Jos to Bran (practically the whole trip was a large circle).
Below are some photos taken on my way to the village (mouse over the to play the slideshow, also see the comments below on some of the pictures).
