This is how a known Skittles commercial sounded. However this time it’s more about “visual taste” than sweets 🙂
What is a rainbow? Well, it is a magnificent natural phenomenon that most of the time can be seen after a heavy rain. As a basic explanation (from physics point of view), due to humidity the air acts like a prism causing the dispersion (splitting) of the (white) light into more wavelengths. Each wavelength will be perceived by human eye as a color. In total, there are 7 of them: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Sometimes it can also be reflected, which turns it into a “double rainbow”, the second one appearing with a lower intensity.
In reality the phenomenon is more complex, yet we are not in the physics class so let’s keep it as simple as possible 🙂 What really matters is to take the camera and go shooting right after the rain stopped. It’s not only the rainbow but many other interesting things one can capture: droplets, reflections and why not? an amazing sunset.
Enjoy!
