Let me share with you another trip I’ve been to. It happened at the end of May this year and this time I went to the Ciucas Peak together with a few friends. This peak is part of the Ciucas Mountains which themselves belong to the southern Oriental Carpathian (for reference check the map of the Prahova County in Romania).

Snails

Snails are another fascinating sub-genre of the macro/close-up photography. There is a high amount of species and although many of them are much bigger than insects (so it’s more closeup than macro), it is still worth capturing them on the sensor. Here some pictures I took last spring after accidentally “meeting” a few of these creatures near my house.
