Dear friends, welcome to my latest bird post! All photos have been taken this year (during spring and summer) in Bucharest, namely at Lacul Morii (engl. “lake of the mill”).

To get a good success rate when shooting birds, the minimum desirable focal length (on a “crop sensor” camera, e.g. a Nikon DX) would be 400mm. It’s even better to use a lens that reaches 500 or even 600mm (teleconverters are an option, especially if the f-stop is less than 5.6, say f4 or f2.8).
