Although I usually love the warm and sunny days (maybe because I was born in summer…who knows:-)) as a nature photographer I consider that one of the most important ingredients of a good landscape picture are clouds.

In my opinion a sky without clouds is pretty flat and usually boring – unless we are talking about a colorful sunset. On the other side the clouds can bring a lot of power and volume to the photograph. Of course not all are the same. Some of them have a relatively flat shape and color, while others make the picture look “3D” like. Also a good lighting is needed in order to obtain that dreamy effect…and if you add a filter you have the perfect recipe for an incredible result!
Ok…so much with the theory…now let’s watch & dream.
